Zettlr portable5/11/2023 It's open source, gratis, and based on markdown, so you neither have to pay anything nor worry about the future of your notes. r/askphilosophy Open Discussion Thread | December 13, 2021 Zettlr is open source and has export-to-PDF. Typora alternative? (or any desktop Markdown editor with export to PDF?) Any open source markdown editor having live preview like Typora?.It supports citations, footnotes and uses Pandoc for document production-so there are lots of ways to get your work out. It's another Markdown-based tool like Obsidian, but it is really focussed on Zettelkasten, and of interest to you, with a stronger focus on long-form academic writing. Scrivener alternatives for academic writing and research? Looking at their suggestion, I'm pretty interested in trying it out myself haha. It's similar to the Obsidian app mentioned in another comment. Although its a little unintuitive I've found it works great to what I need it to do. Silly name aside, it's a wiki that lives entirely inside one html file. Me never having used TiddlyWiki on mobile, you might need to refer to the TiddlyWiki website and poke around the TiddlyWiki forum for help. Since it's a single html it's easy to back up and is just about future-proof (it will remain readable forever and writeable so long as tiddlywiki has a way to save). It's basically a superpowered pile of text files stored in a single html file, so I can interlink articles and make it pretty easy to understand how everything fits together. I use personal wiki software, namely tiddlywiki. How do you personally record/archive all of the perks, items, companions, and anything else your Jumper finds? I do this with which is a simple html file holding all your notes. Wiki for people who want a self contained blob: Tiddlywiki.Īpp for zettelkasten stored on Nextcloud and multiplatform?
